Description
Adenium obesum is a succulent shrub that grows a broader, bulging caudex (swollen stem) compared to the closely related Adenium multiflorum, from which branches emerge. The ovate, leathery, grey-green leaves are arranged in clusters at the tips of the branches. This plant is popular for its flowers with five spreading lobes, in shades of pink, red, or white and, occasionally, with a white to pale yellow throat.
