Furcraea
This group of succulent plants belongs to the Asparagaceae family. They are found in the tropical regions of Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. Some species of these plants can also be found in Africa, the United States (specifically Florida), Portugal, Thailand, India, and Australia, as well as on various oceanic islands. These plants are known for their production of fique or cabuyo, a natural fiber.
