Coleus
Coleus plants can be annual or perennial herbs or shrubs. They have leaves positioned opposite each other or sometimes in a circular arrangement, and their cluster of flowers can range from dense to loose. The flowers may be single- or multi-flowered, with a simple or branched structure, and can be sessile or have a short stalk. The flower’s calyx has a funnel or tube shape, which can be straight or curved. It has two lips or five lobes. A distinguishing feature is that the stalk attaches asymmetrically to the base of the calyx, not in the centre. The corolla is 2-lipped, and the upper lip is shorter than the lower lip.
