Tillandsia

This particular genus comprises of approximately 650 species of evergreen, perennial flowering plants that belong to the family Bromeliaceae. They are commonly found in the Neotropics, including the forests, mountains, and deserts, ranging from northern Mexico and the southeastern United States to Mesoamerica, the Caribbean, and central Argentina. These plants have leaves that are usually silver-colored, and they are covered with specialized cells called trichomes, which can quickly absorb water that collects on them.
