Copiapoa

Copiapoa is a genus of slow-growing flowering cactus that grows in single spherical globes or in large clusters. They’re native to the hyper-arid coastal deserts of northern Chile, particularly the Atacama Desert, where the plants rely heavily on frequent coastal fog rolling in from the cold Humboldt Current, locally known as camanchaca.
